Wow he is SO good, he looks so real. What is the model to be used for and how long did it take to get it to this stage?

Thank you Sue, the model is an integral part of the drama in the stage play of Slueth also in the original film starring Sir Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine, they had a very similar sailor and the stage play is based on that film, if you get the original film out on dvd you will see the part it plays ,I was under no pressure and volunteer my time so to get the head to this state took about three months , however it has to rock backwards and forwards with laughter ,and the mouth opens wider as the head goes back, also the arms are animated .all run by an electric motor.

How clever. Didn't know you were a man of many talents. Brilliant work.

Brilliant work - quite amazing in fact.

The sailors hat was cast in resin and painted in acrylic, everything has to be a little over the top for the theatre, I hope there are some people interested in how these things are done .
