'Dryad and Dragon' - Luminence and Spectrum Noir Metallic Pencils on MiTientes paper. Just a touch of whimsy for my granddaughter and a desire to try out my, newly acquired, Spectrum Noir Metallic Pencils (for the entire dragon). Not a raging success, as can be seen but happen my young granddaughter will like it. The Spectrum Noir pencils are quite soft and don't hold their point very well. You don't get the metallic look unless you burnish and then you can't really do much else. I found that the silver gave the best metallic effect, followed by the nickel - the violet, not so much. I haven't really tried the other colours other than as swatches. I found that the metallic effect makes the colours muted - which is to be expected I suppose but is a shame anyway as I was hoping that they would be more vibrant. Doing the entire dragon in the metallic pencils was an error - I should have used my other CPs and restricted the metallic effect to smaller areas - still,
