You're not alone with those thoughts Malcolm - what looks easy at first often kicks up problems. Mind you, if you hadn't "blabbed", nobody would have known ( says she, who often can't keep her uncertainty to herself!).

He's looking good Malcolm. A tricky composition but you have handled it well. Sometimes things never turn out as you envisage them but only you know that😀

'Mandrill' - Soft and hard pastels on Canson, Mi-tientes paper. Ref .photo from Pexels. I'll paint this Mandrill... I thought. It'll be fairly easy... I thought. I'll use pastels, they will be quicker... I thought. 11 hours later and still not happy. I really must stop having these thoughts!
