Very effective. I like the colour too.

Nice painting. Again deeper shading in the centre of the flower as it recedes. The nearer the petal to the viewer, the lighter the tone. The furthest point away from the viewer should be darker than the nearest point in a close up. (Just to confuse it is the opposite in a landscape because the tone lightens and becomes more obscure and pastelly as it recedes and stronger in the foreground) But you seem to favour close-up drawings. It's lovely the way you have left some white on the petals, this is showing the light here. Lovely colours too. Well done.Jx
