Very cute looking little fella, nicely painted. Went to see Warhorse at the weekend, hopefully this little.chap will a happier life!

This is really stunning, Glennis. The tonal work and the detail are superlative!

I agree with Stephen and Seok, this is beautiful, Glennis. Are you painting every day? You are so productive and your work is really, really stunning!

Stephen, Seok and Mia many thanks for your kind comments. Mia - I do try and paint every day, I usually have two or three paintings on the go at one time. The foal I started three weeks ago and finished off today, I have a couple of flower paintings started and also a blank piece of watercolour paper taped up ready to go for a landscape - it's blank at the moment a bit like my head towards landscapes.

I agree with everyone, lovely and cute foal Glennis

He's adorable and you have really caught the expression well.

Very cute and you have got a lovely softness in the face and coat. Charming painting.

Kirstie, Petra, Michael and Thea, many thanks for your encouraging remarks, much appreciated.

A lovely watercolour Glennis, I like how you have faded out the colour on his coat and also the grass area's.

Gosh Glennis, I have just found this portfolio and I am amazed at the amount of lovely work you have produced! In particular I love your portraits of birds. I am very drawn to paint birds myself. I think you must paint all day every day to have managed this splendid output in what seems relatively few months! I wish I had your stamina. Do you paint at home or go to classes I wonder?

Sorry Glennis - I got a little trigger happy with the mouse!

Julie, thank you for your comments on my flowers and the portfolia in general. I do try and paint a little bit each day, but certainly not all the time. I attend a local art group once a week in the evening and the odd workshops which appeal to me. The portfolia is made up of paintings done over a few years. I am an amateur, self taught and like painting animals, flowers, birds, some portraits, but not very good at landscapes, not the interest in them. I like looking at others though! Thank you for your interest.

Beautiful! You have a wonderful portfolio and I especially like this one!! Thank you for your comment on my Sunlit daisy.

Thank you Nicola for your comment

Thank you for your comment Glennis, you have a wonderful selection of paintings to look over. I especially like the little foal

What a gorgeous and touching work. Not easy to paint! You have done it so very well!

Thank you Beatrice for taking the time to have a look at my work

Thanks for your comments Glennis, gives me a chance to look at your work. I love the black lab pictures, reminds me of my own that I used to have

Lovely work Glennis, i just found this gorgeous foal by browsing your site to thank you for commenting on my latest horses head pastel, unfortunately i got caught out by a multiple poster which shoved the horses back a bit on the pages a bit quicker than i was expecting, but thanks again, all comments greatfully appreciated!

Glennis no wonder you got 22 comments on this gorgeous little foal! You have caught the slightly sleepy look in this eyes perfectly, and his head and body shape is really good as are his little legs tucked under him, and love how you rendered the grass all around him as well, thanks for your great comment on my best friends pastel dog portrait as well that one has come out really well and i am happy with it, cheers xx

Hi Glennis, thanks for you super comment on my latest cat pastel portrait yesterday, love the fact that you liked it so much, you do super pet portraits as well so it's really good to get a good comment from you ! I think it is, no I know it is my best cat pastel drawing so far, I got the face and it's shape pretty much bang on this time and the feel to it is of a totally laid back cat, I had to come back to this foal of yours to leave my thanks, you know me and horses!, harking back to my childhood! Just realised you have a gallery that has over 250 works in it, brilliant!, and there is me thinking I had quite a lot in my tiny pastel drawing gallery! It is a real learning curve isn't it being a user of this website, but that is all part of the joy of it of course!

Hi Glennis, thanks so much for your generous positive comment on my boxer pastel portrait, great to read that you like it and think it's a good one, I have really enjoyed doing a couple of white on black tonal works this week, they are interesting to do and certainly do add another aspect to pastel portraits especially when the subject has a characterful face, thanks again Glennis, I keep getting drawn back to this foal watercolour of yours to leave my thanks being a horse lover, it is so sweet!

just had a look at your fabulous art work Glennis all fantastic
