Magnolia by Glennis Weston

This is lovely and reminds me of the magnolia tree in my garden which finally flowered after sitting there glumly for about 5 years. I did take a photo and planned to paint it, but haven't got around to it. However, after seeing your one I don't think I will bother as I couldn't do it as nicely as you have.

Thea and Tony thank you for your comments. Thea have a go, I use hot pressed paper and slowly build up the layers. After the wonderful paintings you do, it will be easy.

Thank you for posting a comment on my "Lake", Glennis. I had a look through your gallery and I very, very much like your flower and animal paintings. This magnolia is one of my favourites. It is very well painted and I like the fact that you didn't paint a background. This draws the attention to the beautiful shape of your subjects!
