Thank you all for your kind comments. Jackie, thank you. No I don't live in Sussex, in the wonderful county of Gloucestershire. I am self taught, love animal and flowers which explains why I paint so many. I also like faces and have painted quite a few portraits, some in pastel, watercolour and a couple in oil., some worked others didn't ! I 'fiddle', paint a lot of layers starting off very pale and try and use transparent watercolours as much as possible. Just layer until I get the right shade. Hope this helps.
