Lovely image beautifully painted Glennis, and nothing wrong with the background - so soft and velvety. I wonder, did you just use the paper for the lightest whites - they are so brilliant, whereas most papers tend to veer towards the yellow ?

You've got the delicacy of the rose perfectly and the dark background emphasises this.

I always have the background dilemma but doing the one liners that some of us have been experimenting with at the moment has shown me that you don't really need one as a few splashes of paint can do the trick nicely - solves my problem, lol! Anyway, it is lovely to see this pristine white rose, which you have done such a good job of portraying.
