'Goosey Goosey'

Lovely , cute picture Glennis.

A very appealing image Glennis. I like your treatment of the background foliage, it looks very effective, and the darker areas around the geese really help to push them forward.

I do like geese - birds with attitude and character, and strongly painted here, too. You've got me cudgelling my brains trying to remember the rhyme now - goosey goosey gander, where do you wander ..... then I start wandering myself, and can't remember the rest.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Robert I am glad you could recite the first part of this nursery rhyme and Debs was able to finish off. These rhymes seem to have got lost over the years, I certainly haven't heard this one from my grandchildren. Michael I couldn't think of a title which I hadn't used (I have painted a few of my niece's geese), so we will settle from l to r with Goosey 1 and Goosey 2!

these geese are brilliantly captured, i would never attempt to capture real animals, (just look at my elephant) :-p you are very talented Glennis :-)

There's something about geese I am always drawn too (forgive the pun). I like this alot :)

Lovely subject and great tones Glennis. I had a gander once, he was a lovely chap......until I picked the watering can up...... turned into the gander fom Hell until I put the can down again. I think he saw it as competition.

Love this subject and your use of strong tone to show the geese off to full effect :)
