Hi Glennis - I agree with Sylvia that this is a very pleasing format and I can imagine it reproduced as a big poster. Lovely poppies and really nice subtle treatment of the background.

Poppies are so irresistable to paint aren't they. I have been painting them this week too. I like your composition, it makes such a bold statement.

My poppies are out in the garden at the moment and your ones are so very like them. Lovely composition and format - I like the fact that you have followed the tall shape of the poppies in the paper size you have used as it is very effective.
