Sunshine Rose

It's lovely Glennis, beautiful colours, the greens are fantastic and really compliment the peachy/orange rose.

The leaves really add to the picture and all the lovely blues in the shadow areas help to focus attention on the rose. The rose is good too - you have achieved a real sense of depth to the petals and the soft apricot colour is very appealing. Your portfolio is super, and so varied too.

Beautiufl rose Glennis

You carried away really well Glennis, this is beautiful.

For me, a flower without a background of leaves or colour can look a little "text book" and lifeless, but this is just my view on floral paintings. This rose is lovely. The background here adds so much to the rose and is beautifully observed and painted.
