I like it - I daresay there will be those who don't care for the lack of any real reference to modern times (this could be a 19th century picture, for instance) but I don't mind that one single bit; there are parts of the country still which do look exactly like this, and I never see the point of gratuitously introducing references to the present day. I also like the lack of figures; again, some don't.... It's a restrained painting, with a delicate palette - perhaps very early in the morning, with those gentle violet shadows.

Thankyou Robert-it's great to get your feedback.I've been told before that my oil landscapes have an old fashioned look-it's not something I work at -it's just the way they come out.
