Gillian Dix
Biography
I am retired and love painting and photography, and have painted a lot of Bristol scenes in pen and wash from my photos and I make cards from all my paintings. For the past two years I have had pure watercolour lessons with David Royle a Bristol Savage ,he has taught me a lot about layers and loose clean work. I have been painting dog portraits as well for friends in Acrylics which I find very satisfying. I also love mixed media which is so different to what I am used to, I did some classes in Sidmouth with my sister, learning abstract mixed media using tissue , card , linseed on my paintings. Art is In my family, but I never had the luxury of going to art college, but have had lots of lessons over 60 years.
