Unison pastel on Colourfix paper. This was painted in a brief respite during a storm at Teignmouth. There was just a solitary beachcomber in the landscape and the red Teignmouth sand was a deep, almost purple, set off by the slate sky and sea. I usually take hours and hours over the space of a week or two to paint a piece, but this one just flowed out within one sitting.
