Sunlit Wolds, Lincs by Geoffrey Humphreys

Good one Geoffrey, reminiscent of Cezanne.

Wonderful late summer feel to this Geoffrey

Fabulous work, Geoffrey. Love the colours and the marks.

Very good work Geoffrey.

Gorgeous! I too, like the colours and brushmarks.

How "small" is small, I wonder - you have a whole world represented in this painting with the indication of vast distances, and I admire the way you've separated the greens which, in a painting like this, could very easily have merged into each other.

I always like your brushwork and this is a lovely end result, super colour palette too and those flashes of turquoise work a treat

Lovely uncluttered work

Super picture, Geoffrey.

Many thanks for all the kind comments on this painting. This picture is 10"x12", oil on canvas. In the far distance is the River Humber.

Very accomplished artwork, excellent.

Superbly vibrant. Impressive aerial perspective

THIS is a one-hour painting? I really like the deliberate, abstract strokes in this work. You've combined abstract with representational in a marvelous way. Your design is strong and just terrific. Why take longer than an hour when you pull off this beauty?
