WOW! ..... YOU REALLY HAVE A FANTASTIC STYLE ... SO WELL EXECUTED! ...... LOVE THE PASTELS ........ IAN.

What a lovely silky coat, again typical of the breed. Just a thought...the light on the top of Tigga's muzzle...is it a little too bright? It tends to make it appear somewhat swollen near the stop. It may be the foreshortening, I'm not sure. But beautifully done! I would be very happy if I had done this.

Your pastel work is really good. Just a thought on this one, the bottom of teh ears seems rather too well defined. It may be a very well trimmed show dog but just that part of the ears doesn't look natural. Agree with Ruth's comment too, the stop does look a little swollen.

Thank you Ian, Ruth and Diana. Your critiques are most welcome and I wish I still had this to make those alterations. Many thanks for your honesty and taking the time to look in, Best wishes Gary

Well done- what pastel pencils do you use?

Hi Catherine, This was done with Faber-Castell, Derwent and Rowney pencils Gary

Thanks- I do a lot of work in pastel pencils, I love Derwent but sometimes have trouble with them breaking, they can be hard to sharpen. I'm not aware of Rowney.....haven't seen them here (Australia). I also use Derwent charcoal pencils- they're great!. Catherine.

Lovely portfolia Gary- great talent in capturing the soul of these animals
