St Michael's Mount

Having recently been there, I admire the way you have stripped the scene down to the shape and feeling of the place. When I was on my visit it was overrun with tourists, which gave a very different feel - much prefer your tranquil and mystical painting.

Thank you Thea - I have to admit this little sketch took about 5-mins - I totally omitted everything except St Michael’s mount itself ;)

This just works, for me - no fiddling about or extraneous, distracting detail; a complete statement in its own right: I know someone who would hate this with vituperative passion! But I love it - great use of the medium.
