A super viewpoint, Gary, and it's different. As you commented, the modelling is partially successful. I suspect you could have painted better without the modelling...I think it is worth having another go, this is promising work, and a great composition.

Acrylic on wood, 80x29cm. The foreground trees are created using modelling paste for texture as I felt this would enable me to get the effect of silver birch bark. Partially successful!
