David, that sea is a mighty blue but it's a super pastel painting and the steamer looks really good. I am imagining they are sailing in ice burg country! Thank you so much for commenting on my cat which did not turn out as I wanted but you win some and you lose some and it's only for my own enjoyment, so who cares!! I tried pastel and failed, too messy for me but I do admire those who use it. Best wishes for 2018 hope it's really creative!

Indeed it is a mighty blue Margaret....I blame my casino background entirely. The location is somewhere frozen as you suspect. Pastel is messy but I produce an even greater mess with watercolour. Not at first, actually quite reasonable but it didn't last long. 2018 will be creative for us all. Thanks for your comments.
