This is in Singapore. I think Seok will let me know if they are still gardens.

Love the name of the gardens Fred, it looks to be a very colourful place.

Great stuff Fred like a Chinese Screen

Very colourful, and full of eastern promise. Well done Fred.

Yes, it's still here, Fred, in all its updated gory, gaudy, nightmarish splendor, if one could call it that! It seems to hold the same macabre fascination for visitors, as I am sure it did when you were here. Personally, I loathe the place and I think it should be demolished. It certainly not be touted as a tourist attraction. You've made it look much more appealing than it really is. I love the very high-key and wonderfully rich palette you've used to turn a monstrosity into such a scenic spot. The Singapore Tourism Board needs to hire you to market that place!

Thank you Seok for all the info. Yes you're right it was very gaudy. That is why I have used all these bright and glossy colours.

This is a mixed media painting on canvas board. Acrylic with Plebeo alkalid paints. It should be glossy but hasn't shown op on the photo. I don't know if the gardens are still there because this is taken from one of my photos from 1956!
