Now if I had an image of a fairy grotto in my head, this is what it would look like Fred. How on earth did you do the fairies, are they stenciled?

I usually am, Fred . A really interesting piece with a lovely mix of warm and cold to it,and the fairies look great.

Thank you all very much. Fiona, I borrowed some silhouette stamps from my wife who's hobby is making greeting cards for friends and family. She has her shed and I have mine.

Ah that explains the fine detail of the fairies, I thought you must be pretty good to be able to do them with an encaustic iron(?) if that's what you use for your paintings. Good idea and I agree with Gudrun's idea about producing them to sell. They are far superior to the examples I've seen in my local arts & crafts shops.

Thank you Fiona, that's boosted my morale. The only surprise is that I haven't burnt myself on the iron yet.
