This I really like. The buildings are great, solid and 'bounce' the boats into the right place, if that makes sense! The colours also work really well.

It's also not the 'usual' Staithes scene.

The iconic scene at Staithes - I've seen many versions now and each one brings something different to the table. This one exudes serenity with its calm washes and harmonious colours.

Lovely serene watercolour

Smashing work Fred, did you copy a David Curtis?

Thank you all for your comments. As I said Derek, I really can't remember who the artist was!

Beautifully translucent and clear, with a lovely sunny atmosphere. Great work, Fred!

I missed this Fred....a lovely soft and quiet scene.

Thank you Seok and Fiona. I can't even remember what year I painted this.

I saw Harrison's painting and it looked familiar and realised I had painted the same scene many years ago and forgot all about , so dug it out. It is a copy but can't remember who the artist is.
