Two Gentlemen of Verona by Fred Elwell

This is stunning, Fred - the light is magnificent and palette and composition are just beautiful. This ranks as one of my favorites among your many accomplished pieces.

Agreed this is a gorgeous watercolour Fred, your use of colour is super in this, great figurework as well, and thank you so much for your lovely comment on my pastel portrait of the characterful face, inktense is an acquired taste I have to agree, I stumbled across them by accident in a little craft shop, bought a few to try and quickly realised how good they are in the pencil form, I have never tried the blocks I seem to have everything I need in the versatility of the pencils, then the little craft shop closed unexpectedly before I had chance to get stocked up with them, so a visit to my local art shop will be happening when I need more, thanks again Fred x

Lovely painting and great colours. I like a painting which makes me do a double take and I did with this one. I should have read the top rather than jumping to the picture itself. fabulous picture.
