Lovely memory of Tiddles, Fred, gorgeous painting

Thankyou Ros, much appreciated. We have very fond memories of him.

Nice one Fred, never painted cats before, will have to give it a try. Love the way you have court the light coming through the gate and reflecting across Tiddles.

Thank you Peter, I'm quite chuffed with it myself.

This is a marvellous cat in the sun painting. All cats seem to love sunbathing on the door step don't they. Tiddles' coat is beautiful.

Thank you Fran. Glad I have caught the relaxed posture that cats always have. Cool for cats!

Congratulations on being chosen for the gallery this month Fred. Well deserved as this is lovely. Great posture and you can sense his enjoyment. Reminded me of our old Busterboots - a much missed muggy too.

Thank you so much Beverley, I didn't realise it had been chosen 'till I received your mail. It's a strange coincidence that there is a feature on painting cats by Haidee- Jo Summers in the latest edition of The Artist that I received this morning. Thank you again , glad you liked it.

This is a nice strong image, I like the bars of light on the stripy cat.

I should have left a comment when I first saw this because every time I pass it I look at it again. I like it a lot - the composition, the colours, the strips of light, all done very well. Of course I also love cats. What a lovely way to remember Tiddlles. I have one of my cat in one of my portfolios - called "Soaking up the Sun" which is similar in a way. When you are engaged with the subject it definitely comes through in the painting.Well done.

Thank you Marjorie for your favourable comments.

He's a smasher! Love the shafts of sunshine through the gate. Super picture.
