Thankyou Kay and Jan. This is what you do Jan. Take a photo that you 'd like to paint, print it out on a sheet of ordinary A4 paper. Turn it over and cover it all over with a soft pencil. Tape the top of the paper onto your support, wether it watercolour paper or acrylic paper and then trace the image on to the paper, job done. Go on Jan, have ago!

Fred, this is really superb! The composition works really beautifully, with the just right balance of light and dark. And I love your colors too.
