the under coat of orange was a good choice. The warmth glows through. Can I ask what make of acrylics you use?

This is just super, Fred. I was just thinking that it's been a while since you posted one of your travel paintings! This is beautifully done, with superb light, atmosphere and color. And you've certainly captured the feel of Sorrento here. Well done!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments, I'm chuffed to bits, and if England win to-night I'll have a double gin and tonic! And Tony I use System 3 Acylics. I started of with those and have found no reason to change them.

Thanks Fred. I use Galaria, and see every reason to change (they are pretty awful). Experimenting with chroma at the moment.
