You're really prolific, Fred! This is another gem. I'm amazed how you managed to capture so much detail from such a small photo and in such a short time. This painting is all wonderful tonal work and great draughtsmanship. And for me, it's highly informative and interesting - I've never seen the original Cathay cinema!

The Cathay cinema Singapore 1956. This is the first cinema that we had been in with air conditioning and no smoking! This is from my old collection of B/W photos and they are only 2 inches square. I think this is a street behind Orchard Rd., but I'm not certain.
