Thank you all. Thought I might be better off using black gesso as a canvas primer, but found out I could capture the night light better without doing so.

"Nocturnal Stroll” is set in a dark suburban street. The streetlamps cast an eerie glow and the shadow of a lone walker is barely perceptible. The scene invites viewers to ponder the untold stories that unfold within the night. The subdued palette and use of chiaroscuro heighten the sense of drama, allowing the observer to become a silent participant in the nocturnal narrative.
