A very atmospheric scene, Emma. The colours and the painting of the sea are perfect. Those are the colours we see here at the Belgian coast too.

I have always lived by the sea but seem to have largely avoided painting it - can't think why(!) Brave of you Emma, and it comes off brilliantly.

Just add horizontal sleet and a minus-something windchill...the birds didn’t seem bothered, they appear to enjoy bouncing on the edges of the wind and waves. Watercolour on Rough paper, 16x12", done from memory, for obvious reasons!
