At least we don't tend to get chopped down, or pruned. But there ain't no justice, is there? A giant tortoise - and let's be honest, what works of art or great novels have been produced by giant tortoises: virtually none! - can live for 300 years, while we'll be lucky if we get within nodding distance of 100, and most of us will fall off our perches at 80-odd. It's just not fair.......
