David Hockney with an Ipad

This is incredible Edward! Hockney would be very impressed! Did you use 'Brushes' or another app, I love using 'Brushes' but am a long way from obtaining the amount of detail that you have achieved.

I did use ArtRage. I do prefer it, even though the Brushes is also good!

This is lovely Edward, such a good likeness, and how appropriate, as Hockney has made I pad painting so popular.

You're right, he's paved the way for all of us to explore the medium!

Excellent likeness and a good artistic impression as well. I know nothing about producing iPad art so don't know anything about the difficulties or advantages of using this method to produce art work. I must look into it.

Superb Edward. You have so much detail and have achieved an excellent likeness. I dabble with the Brushes app and so can really relate to the amount of effort and work in this. I have been wondering about downloading 'ArtRage'. Do you think it has advantages over the Brushes app?

Yes I think the ArtRage has advantages over the Brushes. I started off with the Brushes but when I got my hands on the ArtRage, it felt like painting on a canvas! The texture of the paint is one thing I really like about it, among many others.

very good likeness and made me smile because Hockney is the perfect subject for digital media, hahaha. Havent tried it myself - I have the old-fashioned (childish) notion that it can't be art unless I make a HUGE mess ! But this is very good
