The purple and red poppies suddenly appeared in my garden. This is a great painting of them capturing different stages of buds, flowers and seed heads. I think the shapes of the leaves are lovely.

Oil on board These poppies grew in the corner of the cabbage bed. Although I had sewn poppied elsewhere, these were the only ones that appeared.
