Love the textures d colours. Excellent and atmospheric work!

Is this one of Valette's works in Manchester Art Gallery? It certainly has a feel of his work. I personally much prefer his work to that of his famous pupil, L S Lowry.

Excellent work Derek

Beautiful work, Derek, and great atmosphere.

You've done a really good job Derek. You got that watery smog effect just right. Much more like Valette than mine. I didn't get the glaze effect. Artizan!

Love the glazing effect Derek, really gives the atmosphere.

Love your palette Derek. The cards give a great texture to this painting. I shall have a go!!xx

Inspired by Michael McManus verion of this scene.20 x 30cms on slightly gessoed board, using cards. When dry gave it an overall glaze of transparent white acrylic and a touch of Medium Magena, Cad Red.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
