Mr Blessed by Derek Bateman

I really like this Derek, I am a great fan of Brian Blessed, not just his work but also his involvement with the mountains, I was lucky enough to be in contact with him for a short period. I think your painting really captures the spirit of the man coming from the eyes. I like the colours and the treatment of the hair and beard is great, but again those eyes are the man, nice one.

A real force of life which you have captured so well.
