I recognize Gordon Brown and, I think, Cardinal Brady - you work, I'd guess, from screen grabs as well as from observation in the flesh. Very good, and I imagine you work on at least a drawing a day, which I wish I would remember to do!

Thanks for your comments. What are screen grabs? These sketches are mostly (very loosely)done from photos which appear in my daily newspaper. It gives me something to do whilst I'm sitting in my taxi waiting for a hire! Not ideal but it's practice anyway...

A screen grab is, amongst other things, drawing from the tv screen - an interesting discipline, because you have to work fast. A bit awkward doing that in a cab... but you're doing much the same thing - I used to draw from newspapers years ago, the trouble was that the photographic techniques used back then ironed out all the fine detail and murdered any tonal subtlety.
