This is a fabulous portrait Dennis, really like it.

This beautiful face is certainly not tormenting to look at Dennis!

Many thanks Diane and Russell

There's something very engaging about this Dennis, worth the pain I think you've experienced to do this. (For what it's worth I too have really struggled over the last 6 months or so to pick up a brush)

I know what you mean Heather but we have to fight the insanity with life and bring the light back

Thanks for your lovely comment on one of my posts too

Enjoy looking I am most impressed Heather

Well Dennis this is a portrait full of expression and lovely sensitive brushwork. Love the subtlety of your palette and the overall effect. It may have been painful to do but well worth the effort. I think painting is very often a struggle for a lot of us but somehow the impetus to express often overtakes the urge to bite into the colours and let go.

I love it, Dennis.

I love the contemporary feel of this piece, Dennis, as well as the liveliness and expressiveness of the piece. Beautiful work.

Yes that consideration was at the back of my mind Seok. Also I enjoy Painting over an abstract background as it can inform the piece

Fantastic, love this, you have captured the beautiful smile well

Wonderful portrait, Dennis!

After over a year without doing one here's a portrait. Don't care what anyone says painting is too hard in this world and portraits tormenting 😎
