I believe that traditionally cottages wore painting with whitewash combined with oxblood. So flesh is about right. Oil pastels seem to be doing the right thing for you. I have heard that they are really good for pleinair. Well done.

I like the texture and colour Dennis. I never thought of combining acrylic with the pastels - is it on gesso'd board?
