Very effective quick sketch.

Thanks Sandra very much appreciated

Great to see the two together.

thankyou Dawn I wish others would do it it seems only me does . But I think you can learn so much that way

And you make something special with them Dennis.

Thank you Marjorie very much I do appreciate your comments

A really strong composition Dennis and I love seeing the original. But give it time, one day the computer will be able to do all this - scary isn't it?

Thankyou Adele very much appreciated.

Looks do much better than the photo, all too easy to copy what is there. The blueish road looks mare interesting than the grey and the removal of the nearer car opens up the scene. Interesting to see the two together.

Thanks Stephen very much , its not a great painting but it shows how to turn any scene into a painting, this applies when using photo reference or painting of life , you still need to make adjustments to enhance the scene.painting what is there just ends up looking dull like a photo you may as well just frame the photo it will be better.

Thanks for the explanation - again - dennis. Normally I woudn't look at this technique but I have been drawn since I first viewed your outstanding work.

Thank you Derek for your comments and for your honesty however if I put this image on and told you it was acrylic would that make a image any better truth is how you apply colour is largely irrelevant you can use a knife a brush or indeed a mouse if the colour is applied wrongly it will be a rubbish painting thank you mate much appreciated

Another lovely painting Dennis I hope people realise the skill you have in interpreting scenes and photos which enable you to produce so many excellent works. On the question of the computer I see it as a tool the artist still needs the skills to use it and would challenge anyone who thinks it’s easy to try it and see.

Thanks Barry so much for your comments they mean a lot coming from you , I am particularly pleased at what you said about Digital art . I plan to retire in may and then I will do some en plain air paintings in oil I hope for success

I look forward to seeing your Plein air oils Dennis and I don’t think you will have any problems achieving success.

The painting definitely wins over the photo, Dennis. The light on the damp road and the red reflector on the bike are fabulous.

Thanks very much Ellen and very much appreciated

Thankyou Doors and your comments are very much appreciated

Sorry Dorota the predictive text put doors

Well done Dennis. Nice to see where the finished painting came from.

Thanks George its no great painting but its usefull I think for people trying to create original work , i spent years slavishly copying.

Great adaptation! Love your work Dennis.

Thanks very much Sue much appreciated

done quick but i have put the reference on so you get the idea of how i work . i change colours and composition eliminate unnecessary detail remove cars add lights and reflections put people in take people out add texture and so on , and although people think the computer does it it doesnt i do it myself just the same as any other painter would .it would be a hell of a computer that could do that.
