Good tonal range, as we expect from you Dennis, the pinky cloud brings some warmth to the scene. Would Seago have another smaller tree on the right to balance things? Perhaps not.

Thanks Stephen I did try a few trees on the left but decided against it , I aimed those birds into the picture to direct the eye back in to the trees

Brilliant Dennis the foreground gives two directions to the focus and the open left gives a great abstract shape with the light in the sky and lends to the bleakness with hope a master chess player

To my eye this close up version works better, I like the way you consider your paintings and often use cropping to good effect.
