Many thanks Henry try that method but don't look at the scene once you start painting or you'll copy it. That's not the idea.

Good use of tone here Dennis, the dark figures in the foreground shadow make the light areas shine. I read in an art book once that when painting from a photo, to do a quick sketch and then turn the photos over and paint the picture, a similar idea. Again has a feel of Seago and Wesson's style, which I like.
