Works for me Dennis, not quite sure what you mean by taking it too far. Interesting to hear your thoughts.

Thanks Stephen very much , well I make a lot of effort trying not to over paint , my natural tendency is to paint like a photograph I really have to resist it .

I enjoy looking at all your work Dennis, but the paintings you regard as being overworked are the ones I admire the most!

I can almost feel the heat in this wonderful sunny scene, Dennis. Excellent light and composition.

It's a delightful country scene Dennis, but I think it's missing one of your magical "light" treatments. You certainly have an arsenal of them.

Lovely recession colours beautiful cows Dennis.

Hi Dennis, Great job again... I love the distance.... What is your medium? oil, watercolour?

Thanks guy its a digital painting I use the mouse this one was done on windows paint using the pencil

Too many thistles for cows but they eat. Amother classic dennis

Thanks Derek funny thing they don't eat thistles or the brown dock seed heads

Love it! Excellent cattle in the sun. However, I wonder if that dark tree in the middle ground needs to be toned down as it is competing for attention with the cattle? It is darker than the rest of the hedge which I judge is the correct tone for something that distance away.

A treat for the eyes Dennis!!

What a lovely summer scene, can imagine sitting here with a picnic. Always atmospheric as always. Great work.

A really restful, pastoral scene Dennis. Once again you have captured the lovely light.

Relaxing...
