It is peaceful Maria I have gone for atmosphere not detail . I'm always roaming around these fields and lanes in this area . I know the place inside out . thank you very much for your comments Maria much appreciated.

Of the two I prefer this one Dennis, the sky probably. You always choose just the right shades.

Lovely color palette! I like the feeling you have achieved throughout Dennis, from the sky to the texture in the foreground....and the hint of shapes that are cows, or any group of animals really.....I can smell the fresh air and the grass....reminds me of a place I lived once, long ago, with horses and a cow or two - wide open pastures....I can see why you love it so much...

Never been there Dennis but the way you paint it , it could become my favourite place. Great sky, hedgerow and obligatory telegraph pole all make this simple scene work so well.
