Wow, Dennis! Fantastic light in this painting. That Silver Birch tree catching the light on the LHS and the lime green patch of grass on the RHS are brilliant (no pun intended!). They lead you right into the picture. I love the wet reflections in that lovely pale blue too. Great composition! Lovely palette!

Very well thought out painting Dennis, as has been said the variety of colours and highlights work so well. I always like compositions with a bend in the road, adds a little mystery, what lurks around that bank? <br />Interesting reading your biography, I too play guitar and of course paint, I have a strong faith in Jesus Christ too, as opposed to man made religions.

Tight? I don&#39;t think so Dennis, it&#39;s a super painting. The areas of &#39;bright light&#39; are fantastic.

It&#39;s a different style to some of your others but I wouldn&#39;t say tight. Sometimes different subjects work with different styles but don&#39;t we beat ourselves up about our paintings! What I find amazing is how that use of blue does convince that it&#39;s a wet road - but we can&#39;t all achieve that like you, Dennis.

Thanks Marjorie whether we can all achieve the same doesn&#39;t matter I love to see all paintings , I don&#39;t care too much if they are good bad or whatever, I still try and give positive comments and encouragement . As far as I&#39;m concerned its fun and I enjoy talking to you guys because you know what its like to succeed or fail a painting only artists understand .
