VENICE 5 by dennis roberts

This is based on someone elses painting from way back when I was experimenting trying to get a watercolour look , its not a copy but very similar I was really learning to paint digitally then .

I'm assuming this is digital Dennis yet the base looks like canvas. Again, the colours are beautiful.

Thankyou Marjorie and Stephen yes its digital i scan in the texture of my acrylic paintings and i choose brushes that can give texture . For me its just the same as painting an acrylics , i choose the base canvas or watercolour paper and apply base colours i rarely make a drawing i tend to paint in the large shapes and gradually refine it , but taking care to stop before it becomes photo like . I don't want an accurate drawing as i like a little out of line perspective and a little quirkiness .
