You've certainly succeeded in maintaining the transparency of the darks, as well as the lights. It's a beautiful painting, well composed, with lovely colors.

I thought this was an acrylic at first, great darks and lovely colours , when ever my few water lilies flowered my old english sheep dog would dive in and devour them , lovely dog ,terrible gardener!! : )
