I'd like to see this the right way up - can't rotate it, and I've got a stiff neck! It's good (good luck with the competition) I suppose a bit more tonal contrast might help, ie shadows on the face, but you weren't working from life, I think, and that's difficult. If you had been working from life, you might have noticed that (unless the wicked old Bish is wearing a non-regulation cassock) the cloth around his dog collar would be purple rather than black (just the collar piece and maybe a tiny sliver beneath it, NOT the stole/tippet). He's not wearing his university hood in this, so you would see a little bit of his cassock. I was a choirboy, you see..... Small point, but well done with the teeth - it's a swine to paint an open-mouthed smile without making your subject look as though he's got a mouthful of piano keys, but you've done it well.
