Self Portrait - Warts and All!

A very good first attempt Dawn. It's the consentrasion that make one look to serious.

Had a look on the forum, of your w.i.p of this portrait, nice too see you've taken on board the comments about the tones,especially your grey mid tones,. An excellent first effort. I too found that serious look of concentration on my first effort. Well done .

My self portraits are very strange so you have done very well!

Thanks for your kind comments everyone. It just goes to show it is worth asking for comments on the forum, Andre. Next time, I will try a less serious expression! I would have painted from a photo Cesare, but my husband either forgets to take any of me or I am the size of an ant in the background lol.

For a first attempt (or for any attempt come to that) this is quite exceptional.
