Love all the colours in this and Honey is beautifully painted. Using Velour paper is a bit tricky at first but perseverance has its rewards as in this painting Dawn.

Thank you, Carole. As you say velour is tricky, but Honey's owner wanted velour and I do like the effect. I like pastemat and sennelier card. I don't seem to get on with canson tho.

It's been a while since I did a pastel painting. This is mostly Derwent and Unison pastels on velour, with a bit of pan pastel for the sky. I struggled with the background at first, but then got some advice from Howtopastel on Facebook.
