I couldn't tell it's your first attempt David. I like the hair, the pose and how you framed it.

Excellent for a first David, your wife has beautiful smiling eyes. The pose is very natural, you’ve done a really good job!

As first attempt it is very good, David, you caught the expression very well.

A great first attempt David I like how you caught her smile.

Well done David. You've got a good result here, the pose, with the hand, is not easy. She looks a very happy person.

Thank you all for your very kind words and encouragement, I enjoyed having a try and will certainly keep practicing, as you know I like to try various subjects, all good experience . LOL.

Thank you Linda, Margaret, Ellen and Holger for your very nice comments, quite pleased with this as a first Portrait,

It's a very good effort David ; more shading on the cheeks will round the face out and a bit more detail on the hand .... great stuff either way

Thank you for your kind advice Dermot, I will bear that in mind and try these out.
