Sea Spray

Sea Spray

Not an easy subject David but I think you have conveyed the feeling of sea spray bursting up from the rocks. I failed miserably the first time I attempted it!

Thank you for your kind words Fiona, it took me a few goes to get the colouring of the sea somewhere near the shade that looked reasonable.

Do give pen & wash a go David, you might be surprised at the results. I find it a much more relaxed way of doing something with watercolour, I'm a scruffy painter and some how using pen & wash looks okay in that style. Thank you very much for your comment, much appreciated.

PS If you want to have a go at any of the ones I've done, feel free to use them as your reference material.

Thank you Fiona I will certainly give it a try and thank you for the kind offer.

I thought I would try a sketch of the sea, trying to get the water colour correct in this one was a bit difficult.
